Their life in brief
Born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu in 1910, Teresa entered religious life and taught in India before receiving a call to serve Christ among the poorest of the poor.
She founded the Missionaries of Charity and spent decades offering direct, tender care while persevering through a long interior experience of spiritual darkness.
“As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.”
John 13:34
What Teresa of Calcutta teaches us
We are not asked to solve every need. We are asked to recognize the person before us and love with concrete tenderness.
Pause and reflect
01Where is God inviting me to practice love in small things today?
02Who may need the grace of this saint’s witness through my actions?
Let us pray
Saint Teresa of Calcutta, pray for me. Help me follow Jesus with love in small things and respond faithfully to the people and duties God has entrusted to me. May your witness draw me into deeper prayer, generous service, and confident hope in Christ. Amen.
Give undivided attention and practical care to someone who is lonely or overlooked.
